ET Wheel Inspection
Automatic eddy current inspection systems for aircraft wheel inspection as per applicable standards (ABS, Allied Signal, BF Goodrich, Messier, Dunlop). High performance systems for Wheels and Brakes Shops, capable of high production rates and allowing the inpection with adjustable speed within a range, with high and low frequency (optional) and without a requirement for additional tools to fix the wheel on the table. With or without a PC for control and recording (including C-scan presentation as an option), the systems can be built in with different eddy current equipment in a range which additionally allow the complementary manual inspection with surface probes in specific areas and the bore inspection with rotors.
Optionally, a universal rig for a consistent and more reliable calibration can be built in the systems: an aluminium cylinder with an EDM notch turning at the suitable speed depending on the particular set up rotating speed of the table and the wheel diameter (the calibration with the reference notch is always performed at the same speed than the probe to wheel relative speed and avoiding to fix in and remove different reference wheels, thus affecting the production).
For the different production needs, the range of standard systems includes:
WIS-600: for wheels up to 600 mm in diameter
WIS-900: for wheels up to 900 mm in diameter
